Authentic pub fare with a side of sexy servers is soon to be on the menu for Aurora as the Tilted Kilt re-opens at 1336 Fox Valley Ct. in Aurora on Black Friday. Tilted Kilt, a sports pub that pays homage to the old public houses of America, England, Scotland and Ireland combines a classic Celtic décor with 28 beers on tap, 29 large TVs – two of which are 80 inches – all in a fun, friendly and entertaining environment stretching over 5,000 square feet creating 50 new community jobs.

“Tilted Kilt continues to flourish and grow as people seek more convenient, casual dining options with a unique ambiance, innovative menu options and unbeatable hospitality,” said Tilted Kilt President Ron Lynch. “We pride ourselves on being the best place to watch your favorite sports team while enjoying an incredible atmosphere and strive to uphold the beliefs and ideals of old-world pubs. These beliefs combined with the contemporary feel keep patrons coming back for more.”

The menu at Tilted Kilt of Aurora is a mix of traditional pub food like Hand Battered Fish & Chips and Shepherd’s Pie, but also features creations like Irish Nachos, Pub Fried Egg Burger, Gaelic Chicken and the Tilted Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. Beers from around the world are available, and as the famed Tilted Kilt slogan goes, “A Cold Beer Never Looked So Good.” Guests can also look forward to the debut of the new patio which is currently under construction, set to premier in spring 2015.

At Tilted Kilt, the entire experience follows the theme of a theatrical production. Servers are called “cast members,” wearing mini-kilts made of the Tilted Kilt’s own registered tartan plaid, a starched camp shirt, sporran, stockings and flashings. When a new restaurant is hiring, the “directors” (store managers) hold a “casting call” where servers audition to be part of the “show.” They are trained to be the “star” and the act starts the minute a guests walks through the door. For female guest enjoyment, Tilted Kilt also recruits “cast members” as male bartenders who wear the Tilted Kilt uniform. All female cast members are trained to interact with women who enter the establishment – before looking at the men.

“We put a huge emphasis on recruiting warm personalities and training staff to make connections with every guest,” Lynch said. “From start to finish, our guests keep coming back because they feel part of the production.”

It’s not just the cast members that look good at Tilted Kilt. The architectural features at every location remind guests they are in a classy establishment. Dark mahogany wood fills the bar and the wainscoting add to the charm. Combined with a patio and large plasma TVs, Tilted Kilt is the best place to watch sports and hang out with friends. Humorous and slightly bawdy limericks are even seen throughout the pub, creating an atmosphere that is fun and entertaining.
