The Tilted Kilt, a Phoenix area-based chain of sports bars, plans to open an East El Paso location in early February, and is in the process of hiring about 100 people, the company announced Tuesday.
The 7,000 square-foot bar and restaurant at 1501 N. Zaragoza, operated by a franchisee with five other Texas locations, will feature a new design that is a prototype for the growing chain, according to a company statement. The franchisee has plans to open two other El Paso locations in coming years. Company officials did not say if plans for a Sunland Park Drive location, announced in the spring, but then later canceled, are still alive.
The sports bar franchisee will interview applicants for waitresses, kitchen staff, and managers Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Camino Real Hotel, 101 S. El Paso in Downtown. To arrange an interview, call 575-993-3696. More info: Facebook.com/TiltedKiltElPaso.
