Myrtle Beach pub plans St. Patrick’s Day festival

March 14, 2014

Visitors to Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach can experience an Irish festival all Saint Patrick’s Day weekend.

The Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery will feature live music, DJs, food and drink vendors, and family activities beginning Friday afternoon through Monday night.

Sunday, organizers at Tilted Kilt expect about 1,000 runners for the Annual Tilted Kilt 5k race.

The race begins and ends in front of Tilted Kilt and is followed by a breakfast buffet. They will also serve Saint Patrick’s Day alcoholic staples, like Guinness and green-colored beer.

“It’s obviously considered a drinking holiday for most people, but we do have our share of children. We have a Family Fun run before the 5k on Sunday morning,” said Beth Sansone, the General Manager of Tilted Kilt Pub in Myrtle Beach.

Sansone says the event also offers photography and face painting.

The race begins Sunday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m.
