Tilted Kilts is a new Irish Pub located in Buford,Ga. I had the pleasure of going there yesterday to try the food and let me tell yah it was great! Their grand opening was held in March and when you walk in, its full of great spirits and lively entertainment. The space is filled with flat screen tv’s that give you that sports bar atmosphere. It was crowded ,so thats always a good sign. Two pretty hostesses sat me and my son at our table and their outfits were too cute. I normally wouldn’t take my son to an establishment like Tilted Kilts because the ladies uniforms were a bit risky but I was already there and didn’t feel like going to McDonald’s. Trust me, my son was smiling and the ladies loved him and made him feel welcome.
Around the restaurant they had lots of Irish artifacts, a shiny knight that greeted you at the entrance and great decor with embellished dark woods. The waitresses red plaid skirts, white knee socks and tiny white school girl shirts and the guys in kilts made it a fun. Our waitress Shayna who was very pretty and knowledgeable of the menu suggested a few things. She told me the wings were really good and they offered them in sweet & spicey which was really a popular item. I was in the mood for something else so I ordered the Gaelic Chicken and my son ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. My Gaelic Chicken was pan seared with sauteed mushrooms and onions served with to die for Irish Whiskey Cream Sauce and a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My son’s BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was made with hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy shoestring onions and guiness BBQ Sauce. My son moaned the whole time telling me, “Mom this is beast”(good). I tried a few of his fries and I almost passed out! They were so good! My Gaelic Chicken was everything! We both could not finish our entrees because they give you really big proportions.
The IrishPub & Eatery offers beer, appetizers, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, pizza, and desserts! Oh wait,I have to tell yah about the desserts, simply Pinktastic! My son and I had the “Tilted Guilt” which was a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie served hot from the oven topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. I wanted to do a cartwheel up and down the aisles,so good lol.
If you live in the Gwinnett area or you are looking for a great place to chow down, you have to stop by and check out Tilted Kilts, with the pretty servers, great food and spirits you will love this place! Now I have to go eat my leftovers before my kids get to it! Smh!
