Is your New Year’s resolution to eat better, but your boyfriend’s isn’t? Tempe-based Tilted Kilt restaurant has got you covered with its limited-time Heaven and Hell menus, served through Sunday, Feb. 24, at all six Valley locations. The Heaven menu has more healthful selections, while the Hell menu is gluttonous.
Among the Heaven menu items are the Angel’s Sinless Supper, which is the choice of a turkey burger, spicy black-bean burger or a Malibu veggie burger served with steamed seasonal vegetables and cottage cheese; and the spinach-chicken salad: spinach topped with a grilled chicken breast, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, dried cranberries, blue-cheese crumbles and house-made citrus-chile-mustard vinaigrette.
The Devil’s Last Supper, spicy sausage, peppers, onions and spinach tossed with penne pasta in a rich whiskey cream sauce, is on the Hell menu. So is the smothered chicken, grilled chicken breasts smothered with sauteed mushrooms, crispy bacon strips, melted Swiss, Cheddar cheese and honey-mustard sauce. Served with a side of garlic-mashed potatoes.
