Tilted Kilt to open Tuesday in Greeley

March 14, 2014

Downtown Greeley’s newest restaurant and bar will open next week after several months of construction and two years of planning.

The Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery, 610 9th Ave., will open Tuesday. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Tuesday; 11 a.m. to midnight, Wednesday through Saturday.

The 6,000-square-foot restaurant is blanketed with 40 televisions tuned to every sport imaginable, including two 10-foot pull-down screens. There also are 36 beers on tap, including beers from around the world, and a full menu.

General Manager Liz Weiman said it is a sports-themed restaurant that is family and female friendly.

The pub’s most anticipated feature is the entertainment patio, stretching 5,500 square feet, covered with a putting green, bocce ball course, and horseshoes.

The menu is a mix of traditional pub food like fish & chips and shepherd’s pie, but also features creations like Irish Nachos, Pub Fried Egg Burger, Gaelic Chicken and more. The eatery will have a grand opening party at the end of April, during which the patio also will be opened.

The restaurant is adjacent to the Oasis Tower, a 59-unit apartment building.

Tilted Kilt is a franchised pub that initially started in Las Vegas and now has two locations in Denver.

Its hallmark is its staff of scantily clad waitresses wearing short Scottish kilts and bikini bras — some would say a Scottish version of Hooters.

The company motto is: “A cold beer never looked so good.”

With 94 restaurants open throughout the United States and Canada, and 20 additional restaurants in development, the Greeley pub is the company’s third location in the state.

The Greeley restaurant is 13,000 square feet and is creating 150 new jobs.
